The Yusen MacPherson Group is an Independent Manufacturer Representative Agency focused on selling Electrical, Lighting and Controls products and services to the Electrical industry in New England and Upstate/Northern New York. Our primary customer is the Electrical Wholesaler. We also serve, support and maintain important relationships with the Electrical Contractor, Electrical Engineer, Architect and Lighting Design communities. We represent commodity products, typical electrical supply products, lighting controls as well as light fixtures and lamps.

A Brief History of Our Company

Founded in 1927, Yusen Associates grew through acquisitions, partnerships, and a strong focus on lighting, expanding to 150 employees across three divisions (Yusen, Illuminate, and Strateres). A.A. MacPherson Co., founded in 1940, built a trusted reputation across New England and Upstate New York.

In 2025, the two agencies merged to form the Yusen MacPherson Group, uniting nearly two centuries of expertise. Together, we deliver stronger service, technical support, and expanded product offerings for our manufacturers, distributors, and utility partners across the region.
